Dashboards are great organizational performance indicators. Geotab customers can access a set of standard dashboards in MyGeotab. These dashboards can be customized to display metrics that are pertinent to your day-to-day business activities.
They can help fleets track strengths and weaknesses, as well as identify potential threats and opportunities. They can be used to tell a story but also for quick decision-making. Below is an overview of the top 10 dashboards available in MyGeotab.
- Watchdog Report
The Watchdog Report is crucial for all customers because it is an indicator of which GO devices are communicating and which devices are not. This tool is a great indicator, at a quick glance, of any potential issues and which devices require troubleshooting. Devices that are displayed as offline, could mean that they have been tampered with and unplugged. The dashboard displays the following data:
- Device count displayed in Green represents healthy devices, that have communicated within the last 2 days.
- Device count displayed in Yellow represents devices that have been offline for 2 to 3 days.
- Device count displayed in Orange represents devices that have been offline for 3 to 21 days.
- Device count displayed in Red represents devices that have been offline for more than 21 days.

2. Weekly Idle Cost Trending
Idling hampers productivity in a fleet. It represents time missed at your customers. Lowering idling is an effective way to improve return in investment (ROI). Reduced idling means reduced fuel consumption as well as reduced CO2 emissions. The Weekly Idle Cost Report calculates the daily cost of idling based on the set current fuel price and industry rule of litres of fuel burned for every hour of idling. 3. Last 3 Months Idle Trend
The Last 3 Months Idling Trend Report is a summarized table, showing the total fuel used based on idle time, for the last 3 months for the entire fleet. It can assist fleet managers in determining whether fuel usage policies, implemented within the company, are successful.
4. Top 5 Seatbelt Violations
Seatbelt usage is imperative to your fleet’s safety. Failure to wear a seatbelt can result in preventable harm to your drivers, fleet downtime and costly fines. This report is customizable and displays either 5 drivers or vehicles with the highest number of incidents of driving without a seatbelt. 5. Aggressive Drivers
Driver behaviour is a key factor in operational success. Poor driving behaviour can result in accidents, unnecessary wear-and-tear to vehicles and can greatly impact return on investment. This dashboard is based on the top 5 aggressive drivers within your organization, that have violated the 3 safety rules (harsh braking, harsh cornering, and hard acceleration) as well as how many times these rules have been violated. 6. Driver Scorecard

The report features standard criteria. However, fleets can determine their own metrics for safe driving. There are 6 rules that are taken into consideration and measured based on kilometers driven. The dashboard displays the percentage of vehicles that fall within each risk classification and shows the Average Fleet Score in the middle.
7. Top 5 Speeding Violations Report
This report displays the top 5 speeding violators, based on the highest number of speeding events within a specified time period. Customers can set the speeding rule according to their organizational requirements. This report is key in preventing accidents, fuel wastage and vehicle wear and tear.
8. Last 3 Months Mileage Trend Report
The Mileage Trend Report displays the number of kilometers each vehicle has been driven in a 3-month period. It can assist fleets in assessing where their mobile assets are being over or underutilized and whether they require maintenance. This dashboard can identify whether vehicles are driving efficiently, it can add insight into the dispatching process and driving behaviour. The vehicles can be grouped by criteria such as cross-country or city driving.
9. Last 3 Months Fuel Trend Report
Fuel accounts for the biggest expenditure in a fleet organization. The Fuel Trend Report is a 3-month snapshot of usage for the entire fleet. Customers can dive deeper into the causes of high fuel usage and determine efficiencies to be implemented to reduce this. The impact of factors such as speeding, idling and kilometers driven can be assessed.
10. Average Fuel Economy Report
The Average Fuel Economy Report displays Liters per 100km (L/100km) for your fleet. The fuel economy value on the dashboard indicates how vehicles are being driven and allows for investigation into what factors are contributing to higher or lower consumption.
