Moveable Asset Tracking with the IOX Bluetooth Add-On

 

As the telematics and vehicle tracking industry evolves, the need for more information and better management tools is increasing as clients become more educated and dependant on these solutions.

With this in mind, Geotab being one of the key innovators in the industry has identified a niche in the market in the tracking of smaller movable assets. Tracking your movable assets helps: increase asset utilization, reduce delays from misplaced equipment, boost productivity, reduce operational costs, and improve on-time delivery. We have recently launched the IOX Bluetooth Add-on that makes this all a bit more accessible.
How It Works
IOX-BT can be used as a scanner for any third-party beacons with a public MAC address that are in range. This allows you to track and identify the last known location of equipment that is fitted with beacons. Beacons use Bluetooth® technology to broadcast signals to Geotab’s GO7 device, a smartphone, or other connected device that comes within range.
