Tomorrow’s Leaders Convention

Geotab Africa was recently represented at the annual Tomorrow’s Leaders Convention 2018. The convention took place at Emperors Palace and attended by Geotab’s Solutions Specialist, Rose Zitumane. Rose was nominated by a former Senior Manager at The Hollard Insurance Company. She was identified as possessing the traits of a future leader in corporate South Africa. This year’s theme was centered around the Fourth Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0. The latter, is a space Geotab Africa has embraced and operates in, particularly in the digital transformation in the mining industry

Rapid innovation and disruption are leaving stagnant bricks-and-mortar companies behind. To succeed in the economy, companies are now forced to rapidly build and nurture their greatest assets – their staff, specifically, their Millennials.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Campaign

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Campaign set out over a decade ago, to prove that “people don’t buy into what you do, they buy into why you do it”. The televised event is an incubator for Tomorrow’s Leaders to have their ‘aha’ moment. To inspire others, one must truly believe in their message, and be passionate about the changes they wish to make. The privileged few that have stood on the Tomorrow’s Leaders stage, in front of over 1000 personal brands, have done just that. Rose flew the Geotab flag high by networking with various senior management attendees, introducing the solution-driven fleet management business and attaining substantial business leads.

The event was hosted by Jeremy Maggs, and speakers included:

  • Max Moyo – CEO of Ignite my potential
  • Roga Boniface – Founder of Edsim, Artson and JCB
  • Lebo Gugunzula – Entrepreneur, Turnaround Strategist, Dragon Investor and Inspirational Business Speaker
  • Ntebo Lesetla – Group CEO of Jezreel Group

Criteria for Nominees

Tomorrow’s Leaders are the individuals in your organisation with an X factor for success. They are the ones destined for senior executive roles, and stand out when succession planning is discussed. Simply put, Tomorrow’s Leader is an insightful visionary who consults broadly and decides firmly. Ethical but not rigid, Tomorrow’s Leader can spot and harness talent and opportunity. A creative and resourceful individual, trustworthy and emotionally intelligent, Tomorrow’s Leader is also a tactician with impeccable timing and the uncanny ability to make things work.

Nominees should have a minimum of 5 years work experience, with a proven track record. They should be under the age of 45.
